Protest erupts at GTBank over Verydarkman\'s arrest

 

Nigerian youths gathered at a GTBank branch in Abuja to protest the arrest of social media activist Verydarkman.

The protest follows reports of his arrest after a visit to the bank. While there’s confusion about whether the EFCC or the DSS made the arrest, no official statement has been released.

Protesters carried placards reading “Free VDM” and chanted slogans, temporarily disrupting activities around the bank.

Many of them claimed Verydarkman is being targeted for his bold views against corruption and social ills.
