Media personality and Celestial Church of Christ shepherd, Kunle Hamilton of Praiseville Global, has openly expressed his disapproval of the Big Brother Naija Season 10 show and its winner, Imisi. According to him, the show promotes values that are inconsistent with Christian principles and encourages young people to emulate worldly lifestyles rather than focusing on moral and spiritual growth.
Imisi’s victory, which was widely celebrated across Nigeria and within the Celestial Church community, sparked mixed reactions. Several videos have surfaced online showing Celestial Church members celebrating and praying for her success, with some clerics even publicly congratulating her on social media platforms. This, however, did not sit well with Hamilton, who believes that the Church should not endorse what he described as a “controversial reality show.”

In a viral video making rounds online, Kunle Hamilton described Big Brother Naija as a “swimming pool of sin,” stressing that the program glorifies indecent behaviors and promotes imitation of other people’s lifestyles rather than self-discovery. He further noted that shows like BBNaija influence young people negatively, shaping their perception of success around fame and materialism instead of discipline and integrity.
Hamilton emphasized that while he does not hold any personal grudge against Imisi and would have personally congratulated her if he had her contact, he would not do so publicly because of what the show represents. He maintained that public endorsements of such platforms by religious figures send the wrong message, particularly to impressionable youth within the Church.
Despite his criticism, Hamilton also acknowledged that Imisi has the potential to continue thriving in life if she remains grounded in her Christian faith and maintains her moral values amidst fame. He advised her to use her newfound platform to promote positive change rather than perpetuating the culture of vanity associated with reality television.

Kunle Hamilton criticizes clerics for congratulating Imisi
Kunle Hamilton did not only criticize the BBNaija show but also condemned fellow clergy members who went out of their way to congratulate Imisi on her victory. He questioned why spiritual leaders would publicly align themselves with a program that, in his view, promotes indecency and moral corruption. Hamilton described such acts as a contradiction to Christian teachings and warned that it could damage the spiritual integrity of the Church.
He further stated that the responsibility of religious leaders is to guide young people towards righteousness and not to encourage them to chase fame through questionable means. According to him, celebrating or endorsing BBNaija contestants creates the wrong impression that success can come without spiritual discipline or moral accountability.

Imisi’s BBNaija win
This controversy follows the massive celebration that trailed Imisi’s emergence as the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10. Reports and multiple online videos revealed that many Celestial Church members actively campaigned for and supported her throughout the show. The reality star walked away with a grand prize of ₦120 million, sparking nationwide discussions about the moral influence of BBNaija on Nigerian society and the participation of religious communities in supporting such entertainment platforms.
As the debate continues, Hamilton’s remarks have stirred fresh conversations among church leaders and fans of the show, raising questions about where to draw the line between faith and entertainment in today’s evolving cultural landscape.
